Rainbow 2

In one of the stories in Akira Kurosawa's mawkish and self-indulgent portmanteau fantasy Yume, a late and unworthy entry to his œuvre, we are told that rain falling while the sun shines is the occasion for foxes' weddings. Other sources hold that it is, rather, monkeys who wed then; a regional variation, evidently.

Either way, there must have been a good many of them getting hitched around here lately. As you can plainly see:

I'm slightly embarrassed at just how enchanted I always am by these pretty lights in the sky... but only slightly.

No need to be embarrased good sir. I am reminded that when I was six they were indeed minor miracles and I never quite recovered from that myself.
