Humble Pie
Naturally, a scant ten minutes after posting a bitter flame about agents to this blog, I get a call from a friendly and well-informed one and wind up having a long and potentially-productive chat about some looming work that actually seems like it might be suitable. At first glance. Maybe.That'll teach me. Not as much as when he reads the entry below and tosses my CV in the shredder, but a small lesson in humility nonetheless.
Note to self:
Remain calm. All is well.
Oh, and while I'm in the business of setting myself up for failure, I might as well mention that I'm making a start on IQ4. It'll probably be a week or two -- and it's shaping up to be a real downer.
Watch this space.

I took it off the ubiquitous Word version today, but too late for the ones already in circulation. And it's still linked from the Pollen page, so hardly a secret.
Are you hiring right now? Commuting to Atlanta would be a bit of a killer... :)

i was just surprised. i sometimes wonder if my work knows about my blog, but i seriously doubt they would.
anyway, nope, not hiring here. but yeah, the commute would definitely suck. haha.
if you'd like, i will hire you to be my own personal marching boy. :P
