Brentford Nylons
Blogging is transient, we all know that. Not only the fleeting fancies that catch our attention and the drivel we spout about them, but our interest in the whole business, the writing entries and reading them, and the time we have available to do so. All of that is as it should be.If I am at all interested in these people whose words I read, I can hardly begrudge them their lives. I am content, for example, that Faustus is no longer the prolific diarist (and occasional versifier here) that he used to be, because he has (it seems) better things to do. Three cheers for that.
Still. Sometimes I have to wonder. When people just disappear without warning or explanation (not that either of those things are in any way owed), wondering is all one can do.
I am very much wondering, for example, about the sudden and parallel silences of Spriteboy and Randyboy. No doubt everyone who's anyone knows what's gone on there, just as they know why Bravo vanished behind a password, but I'm not anyone and, well, I'm wondering.
Not, I emphasize, that it is any of my business.
In any case, should I suddenly drop of the face of the blogiverse -- which I have no intention of doing, btw -- I'd just like you all to remember that I once promised to betray you, and perhaps that will be what's happened. More likely not, but pretend. It'll be so much more romantic that way.

2. Skip meals as a result
3. Allow tears to flow freely while looking at your picture.
4. I won't be able to look at anything involving circus acts without getting misty.
5. Shake my fist furiously at the sky while repeating your name. All this I will do as a result of your sudden silence. So just keep that in mind. Posted by: Ed at April 16, 2004 02:28 PM
