Last Gasp

Being jobless has not felt much like being free these past few months, and with the rest of the stuff going on it's been a pretty fucking miserable time. Now that my unemployment is almost over, though, the urge to be doing something with the last of my liberty is overwhelming.

Purely by chance, I already had plans to spend this weekend cycling in the Isle of Wight, which I guess counts. Being out on the rolling hills, surrounded by sea, the sun on your face and the wind in your hair; there are worse ways to count off the nervous hours before incarceration.

Though I am genuinely looking forward to starting work, I'm also looking forward to getting away from it all first. Wish me fair weather; I'll be back before you notice I was gone.
