Hello Again

Ta-da!

After a great deal of faffing around -- I'd forgotten just how much stuff there is on this site -- WalkyTalky is back, comments and all. Rejoice!

For the record, relocating a site like this is a pain in the arse. If you can avoid it, do.

Also, I have to find a better way of dodging spam, it's really beginning to get me down.

More later, including (at Max's request) a PDF version of the complete Incognito.

And a very warm welcome back, if I may say so.

I need to pick your brains about the spam thing as well... You're not just the only one being driven mad by it!

I wish I was popular enough to be spammed ... either that, or I could just install Movable Type. It seems the spammers like spamming it best.

I miss the posts about you. Kind of glad NaNoWriMo is over. :)

Yay :D

Wahoo - welcome back, prophet! You, you, you, you have been missed :)x

I'll add my welcome too. It quite unbalanced me last night when I came here to link to a comment of yours and found no blog here.

I've found the combination of MT v3.12 and MT-Blacklist v2.01b a huge improvement over MT v2.6xx. Specifically the ability to configure the requirement for moderation of comments to old posts catches the vast majority of the spam I get flooded with.

Thanks all.

[Adam] I've been pondering the v3 upgrade. I fear it's time.

[Allie] You were up late. How was the feuerzangenbowle? Are you singed?

[Max] See next post. Or was that about my being back? ;)

[Davy] I'm kind of glad it's over too. Not using MT makes you an outcast among bloggers -- but only as far as spambots are concerned. Be grateful :)

[Dan] You, me and the whole world too :(

It was a yay on all points.

Good to have you back. My smiles feel more genuine now :-)
