I see no pancakes in those pictures. Nice pad, though.

One pancake snuck into the bottom left-hand corner of the fifth one down. It didn't survive long, though.

Ah, pancakes. And not those doughy, blueberry-infested slabs generally served here in the States either. I like those too, but they're not the same.

How I hanker for lemon and sugar flavoured batter!

Must find pancake batter recipe.

I always miss the great parties.

:-( Pancake day came and went without me noticing.

Were there fewer extravagant fillings than last year, or were the photos taken after they'd been demolished?

Yes - we missed you, Shyboy!

There were somewhat fewer extravagant fillings than in some of the more baroque incarnations of the festival, but the essentials were certainly present and correct.

It was good to be back!

All these smiling faces, and not one of them is yours.

Will there ever be a smiley-faced Matt on walkytalky.net? I'm tired of this morose shit. :)

a million and one illusions have just been shattered....

[charlie] It's there for the exposed letters, obviously.

That's an awful lot of illusions; better off without them, I'd say.

[Davy] I look like a gurning idiot when I smile (one WT reader compared me to Mr Bean!). It happens occasionally in real life, but I don't make a habit of posting pics that hideous. There are one or two around if you know where to look.
