Eschscholzia californica, innit? Whenever I have my own garden, I have to get in some of these; they may be gaudy, but they're too simple to be vulgar. Summery :)

They are gorgeous flowers, although they're bloomin' everywhere here in Oregon. They're just too common to be interesting, which is a little sad.

A bit like chipmunks. My wife was amazed to hear that you see chipmunks in zoos in Britain; they are just a pest here.

I guess that's their charm; here, they're imported. I'm talking about the flowers, but I guess it goes for chipmunks too.

I saw a chipmunk for the first time at the Chicago Botanic Gardens in Deerfield IL; I was thrilled. They're too cute for monkeys.
