Filler 34

Dear me, how dull the main page is just now. I know I should be doing something about that, but I'm afraid this isn't it.

There's not been all that much going on lately, but somehow it has done it at all-consuming length. There never seem to be enough hours in the day, or enough non-work days in the week. The list of things I ought to do and people I ought to do them for grows longer all the time; if you happen to be on it, I apologise profusely and I really will try to get your stuff done soon.

It being Tuesday, this evening I, among other things, trampolined. Warrick was away, but Tom, his intended replacement back when he was planning to desert us, stood in, and brought a coaching buddy along. Darren proceeded to astonish and terrify the entire gym with dazzling feats of aerial acrobatics. Whenever he was on the bed, virtually the whole place came to a standstill and everyone just stared, mouths agape in unabashed incredulity. He was -- of course -- also handsome, in a laddish and slightly deranged way, and -- worse still -- an effective coach, encouraging many of us to little improvements in the nanoskills we might otherwise have been too daunted to even practice after his own displays (and, for that matter, Tom's, which though not in the same league were still pretty remarkable).

And so the evening passed.
