The Trees Dripped Blood! Part 13

For fuck's sake.

It seems like every post I write these days is numbered; either trudging over the same old ground for the umpteenth time or clattering along on rickety rails all the way to the abyss of predestined absoluthingness. Whoosh.

It's only the wind.

At some point I'm really going to have to get all these threads in some kind of order, if only for the join-the-dots hilarity that will inevitably ensue. Random pictures, random diatribes, weeks, months, or years apart, flimsily yoked together by choice of title. Did he say...? What's that got to do with...? Uh, sorry, what? What? What?

What?

You didn't come here for coherence.

This post's title, since you ask, is taken from a very silly video I made æons ago, as part of my Foundation Course in Art & Design. Our brief was to pastiche some movie genre and, belligerent little twerp that I was, I persuaded a number of my fellows to assay a video nasty.

Picture it: Sicily, 1918 Barnet, 1986. The facilities were woeful and so were the results, but it was all thrown together in a day and was lots of fun. I hacked out a script, ripping off anything I could think of, but especially a radio comedy skit I'd heard some time before -- "Quick! I'll trepan her with this electric drill!" -- and sat at the mixing desk while my partners in crime puked Alphabetti Spaghetti to signify demonic possession.

It was even worse than it sounds; but there's not nearly enough of that kind of worseness in my life these days.

I'm 99.99% certain no record of any that crap survives; which is all to the good. The hapless students of the 21st century probably won't be able to manage that level of vanishment. The bollocks they create will live forever in Google's cache. I'm not about to speculate as to whether that's a good thing.

Anyway.

Fuck it's been a difficult week. No more like that, please.

"puked Alphabet Spaghetti to signify demonic possession."

Oh my. You've obviously had way more fun in your life than I have in mine!
