Things are looking up, just a little bit.Not that any meaningful part of the situation has changed; perhaps I've just come to terms with it a bit better. Life is, on the whole, good; looming unemployment is but a blot on the landscape, and merely a manageable side effect of something I should have done ages ago. Life, on the whole, will be better.
I sent off my CV (which is setting up a permanent home over in the right hand column, btw, along with Pollen and one or two other things still to come) for a couple of actual, possibly-interesting sounding jobs today. And also had the good (if too late) news that a particularly truculent and unhelpful producer at one of our unnameable partner companies is taking her leave, prompting one of my (otherwise unflappable and even-handed) erstwhile colleagues to send me this message:
