Getting There
Dear me, there's an awful lot of faffing around involved in this. It's still very unfinished -- missing graphics, placeholder text, all that -- but you have to start somewhere.Posted by matt at August 11, 2003 06:56 PM

Another one of those strange coincidences... I was thinking about this very subject a few weeks ago and was disappointed to find very little mention of it on the Web, despite the huge amount of attention the Marching Boys receive on the marches.
And now, here it is! Thanks Matt :-)

You're going to have to rethink that nickname, you know. Not only are you now (I'm delighted to discover) baring your soul at shyboy.org, you're also exposed to the whole world prancing down the street in your underpants. How shy can you really be?

LOL. That's what they all say. "You're not shy really!"
But in my books it's about how you feel inside, not how it looks from the outside, so I'm sticking with it ;-)
Be assured that as soon as I stop *feeling* shy I'll change the nick (it might be sooner than I think.)

i *heart* mboys!
no, i've never seen them in person. the gallery is enough to earn my immediate delight and disdain, which really is the perfect *heart*.
delight in the play, presence, and precision. disdain in that there isn't anything half as fun around here.

Your use of the word "precision" might be a tad optimistic there, Aaron :)

I suspect that's "precision" as in the phrase "precision bombing" so beloved by the British and US forces.

Wow! Thank you so much for that trip down memory lane... :-)

the key to increasing precision: remove time and space. as shyboy notes, exactly like bombing, which i'm sure the mboys have never done. if someone says otherwise i'll push them under the bed.
