Footnote

Ooh, get me: textbook example of the disaffected blogger.

I've been quoted in a (vaguely) academic article about educational blogging. Ra ra ra! I can hardly complain -- I was saying exactly what the author claims -- but the context does seem a bit off-base. Young? Student? I wish.

As for "losing interest in myself"? Hah! It is to laugh! What a moment of aberration that must have been. I believe I become more tragically self-involved with every passing day.

Three musketeers
Who never say die
Are standing here this minute
Me! Myself! And I!

In any case, I am intrigued to know what kind of Google trawl dredged me up as a reference. And I do hope that any pedantic souls who follow the footnote link stay long enough to read through the comments accompanying that entry, which are far more interesting than the grouchy text itself.

"Grouchy" is right. "Banal" would have been too, as well as "somehow missing the point." Well, "somehow missing the point" would have been grammatically incorrect as a simple substitution, but you know what I mean.

Off to teach Step and Sculpt. (I wish to heaven it were called Step 'n' Sculpt, but, alas, it is not.)

By "the grouchy text itself" I meant my blog entry. Then again, perhaps you did too :/
