A Doc Benway New Year

Oops. It's been over a week and I haven't even wished you all a Happy 2007.

A Happy 2007, y'all!

My own has been, so far, the usual round of over-indulgence followed by abnegation. If I treat it very gently my liver may one day recover. Ditto my sleeping patterns.

The fireworks on the night were very pretty -- more distinctly and subtly coloured than any I remember -- and I managed to speak to assorted loved ones and generally have a jolly old time.

And now it's back to the dog days of January and general scholastic panic. There may be a surfeit of fairly impersonal blogging in the weeks to come, but it won't mean I don't still love you.
