Lounge 2

Tsk. Delayed again, by several hours and counting. Good job the course I expected to have to attend on arrival turned out to be starting on a different day anyway.

I am, anyway, once again idling in a slightly over-crowded and annoying business lounge, and finally using one of the few-and-in-great-demand wired PCs since the fucking WiFi is provided in an entirely braindead fashion -- you need to have an account with one of two local ISPs to use it. (Actually, most things to do with internet service provision in Oz seem a bit messed up -- hello Telstra! -- but that's another and really very boring story.)

We came directly to the airport -- what already seems like weeks ago -- from Bondi Beach, where we lunched and walked and watched the surfers -- yum. If only we'd known, we could also have spent the rest of the day out there in the sun rather than here getting bored and tetchy. But it was a lovely day to end a pretty fine holiday -- let's just cling on to that as we head into the long dark.
