Filler 10
It really has to be some kind of portent of the coming apocalypse that the second most common search string for Google hits on this site (after the inevitable "walky talky"), well into double figures already this month, is "the birdie song".Now, obviously, the main cause for concern is that so many people (or any at all, in fact) are searching for The Birdie Song in the first place. I mean, what kind of deity could look down upon a Creation interested in that and not want to rain down hellfire and brimstone on it? The Birdie Song? The, ah say, The Birdie Song? Hell. This world's a bust, boys, better tear it down. Yep, scrub those fuckers before they play it again. Looks like it's back to the drawing board, damn it. Again.
But that aside, you really have to wonder at times like this about the workings of Google. I mean, most of us regularly trust that engine to come up with the goods, but there are "about 69,400" results for "the birdie song"; what kind of fucked up criteria must be at work to rate this as #2 out of all of them? I'm not one to believe in conspiracy theories, but that's just too wrong to happen by accident; it has to be the result of malicious intent. Someone with a really twisted sense of humour is pointing Birdie Singers my way.
Then again, they probably deserve it. What are they trying to do, immanentize the bleedin' Eschaton or something?
