Filler 22
Busy and energetic evening yesterday, to make up for a rather flat and unproductive day.Taught a fast and fairly hard step class to a group who could actually do it, which was gratifying and also exhausting. Emerged hot and sweaty, showered quickly and rushed off to Circus Space for flying trapeze. It's supposed to be a class of 6 people for an hour and a half, though I don't think there's ever been more than 5, and 3 is usual; last night there was just me. This has happened once or twice before, and it's good having a lot of time to work on things, but doing it solo is hard work, and I was soon hot and sweaty again.
After an hour one of my hands started bleeding so I had to stop, and I was pretty knackered. But seeing as the tumbling class alongside was also fairly quiet, I joined that for the last half hour or so of trampette work. That was great fun -- I must work out a way of getting tumbling back onto my regular schedule.
When I got home I was pretty wrung out, but happy. Grabbed a bite to eat, hung out a bit with Ian, chatted to the lovely Alastair (who's on his way to Edinburgh today for some abstruse conference of molecular biologists: good luck with the paper, kiddo, not that you'll need it), read a little, and finally hit the sack. Ian tells me I was asleep within a minute of curling up, which sounds about right.
Now, the sun is shining, there are buds on the trees, it feels like spring, and I feel like lunch.
