Life Begins

Thanks for all the birthday wishes here and elsewhere. Plymouth was fun and my fellow students treated me well -- one had even baked me a birthday cake! -- but it's good to be back. And being 40 is just fine, thanks. As I said just a moment ago in an interstitial conversation with Ian: I'm incredibly lucky. I get to be happy and all that, for a while.
