La Luna

As moon shots go, this is a pretty weedy attempt, usefully illustrating the weaknesses of my lens and perhaps tripod -- the camera never seemed exactly still -- but even so, it has a certain grainy, early 20th century charm. And our satellite did look ravishing tonight, taking full advantage of one of the few evenings so far this summer not exhibiting weather conditions out of an apocalyptic climate change movie with overwrought CGI.

There'll be other attempts, no doubt.
