Lounge

My flight appears to be delayed. It has been a foggy day with many cancellations and tempers are frayed. I am presently protected from the worst of this within one of the business lounges, but still, it's a suboptimal situation. This place is not at it's best; too many too pissed off people. But surprising numbers of attractive gay men in amongst them. In a situation of such abject boredom, one has to be grateful for small mercies -- and, as no doubt your grinding teeth and subvocalised "you bastard!" will attest, it would, under these circumstances, be churlish to complain...

The fog and cancellations got coverage here in New York too, so things must have been pretty bad over there! I hope you guys got out alright and are now well on your way over to Sydney - let me know where your mystery stop-over destination turns out to be; I've been crawling with anticipation for three weeks now.

Merry Christmas, Matt!

And a Happy New Year, Ryan! Was thinking of you today as we watched the departure of the Sydney to Hobart Race. I'll post a pic if I can find a decent one.

[Alastair] We got through safe and sound and less than an hour late. Stop off was in BKK and most likely will be on return also. Christmas overcast and underwarm, but things are hotting up now. How was yours? Were the boys of the NYPD choir still singing Galway Bay?
